I YO U R F A S T B AC K DOCUMENT ® M O D E L BINDING 1 1 MACHINE The Fastback® Model 11 is a highly reliable, easy to use desk top document binder. It binds documents from 3 to 125 sheets (up to 1.3 cm or .5 in) and documents from 8 1/2" to 113/4" (21.6 cm to 29.8 cm) long. This User’s Manual describes how to operate your binder by simply following the steps prompted by the Status Indicator Lights (see figure 2).

IV EDITING WITH THE MODEL 11 The Edit feature permits page substitutions or the addition of pages to a Fastbound™ document. It is intended to facilitate minor revisions of a document by adding or replacing one or two pages at a time. Removing Pages DIAGRAMA /SCHÉMA/FIGURE 7 1. Replacing Pages DIAGRAMA 1. To replace pages. Turn the machine on and allow time to warm up. 2. Find pages to edit. Fold the corner(s) of the page(s) to be replaced. 3. Lay the document on a work surface and open it flat, behind the page to be replaced. Position the new, replacement page as far into the document and as close to the adhesive as possible. Close the document. 4. Insert bound document. Place document spine down in the machine.

V T I P S F O R G E T T I N G T H E B E S T B I N D I N G R E S U LT S Before binding a document, be sure that the pages are even.Tap the document several times on the top of the machine. Don’t be afraid to tap vigorously — Fastback® binders are rugged and designed for production use. Keep the grain of the paper running parallel to the binding edge of the document. All paper has a grain — it consists of the fibers that make up the paper.
