Ur-Smart User Manual Product introduction About Ur-Smart Ur-Smart provides users with a portable environment for email, contact list, document, web account and instant message records on their USB flash drives. Ur-Smart can be use on any PC for any of the related functions mentioned above without leaving your personal information behind.

Ur-Smart User Manual Activating Ur-Smart Pre-loaded into your USB flash drive, activate Ur-Smart by double clicking on Ur-Smart.exe. Upon activation, please enter your desired password for future use and accesses to this USB flash drive on any computer you plug into. Activation screen： Setting password and password reminder When using Ur-Smart for the first time, “Initial setting” will appear (shown in figure 1.). Please enter a password and password reminder for personal file protection.

Changing skin To use this option to change application skin, please close the Ur-Smart application. Download skins from the website and decompress the file(s) to Ur-Smart Data\ Skin (this is a hidden folder, please shut down the program during this procedure). For example, if your downloaded file is Classic.rar, decompressing to the directory above will result in X:\Ur-Smart Data\ Skin\Classic (assuming X: is your portable device’s assigned drive letter).
Sync Center Select “Sync Center” for Portable email, Portable IE and Portable document synchronization.

Synchronization of Microsoft Outlook/ Outlook Express For synchronization functions to work, Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express must be installed, setup and executed on your PC. If not installed, executed and setup, the target folder can not be selected and synchronization functions will not work. Microsoft Outlook/ Outlook Express will have different setups Outlook Express synchronization options include Inbox, Outbox, Sent Emails, Deleted Items and Drafts.
Apart from synchronizing your email, you can also synchronize “My Favorites” for single or uni-direction synchronization 16
Microsoft Outlook synchronization options include Inbox, Outbox, Contacts, Calendar, Note, Tasks and Draft. Tick the option(s) you wish to synchronize For Outlook synchronization, there are detail sub settings to choose from such as maximum email storage capacity or synchronize “unread” emails only.
Should the following message appear when synchronizing email, please select “Yes” and “10 minutes” is the default time. This message appears to prevent unauthorized accesses (virus / trojan) to your email. Synchronization time is based on synchronization target size.
Portable Email Introduction Please select “Portable Email” from the user interface For synchronization functions to work, Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express must be installed, setup and executed on your PC for initial activation. (XP ~ Outlook Express / Vista ~ Windows Mail) Initiating Portable Email functions: Once you’ve selected your email software, initiation screen appears. You can choose to backup copies of PC emails to your USB flash drive.

Portable Document Introduction Please select “Portable Document” from the user interface You can drag the file you wish to copy directly onto the Portable Document icon to perform copy procedure Portable Document storage directory is X:\ Ur-Smart Data\My Document [X represents the drive letter designation of your USB flash drive] 21
Portable File Compression Introduction Please select “Portable File Compression” on the user interface A window appears asking you to enter a password before entering Portable Security Document’s main window Portable Security Document storage directory is X:\ Ur-Smart Data\My ARZip *X represents the drive letter designation of your USB flash drive。 Note: Deleting this folder will erase all compressed documents 22
Add new files or folders to portable file compression, please press add button in main page to start procedure. New folders can also be added in this screen for better file organization. When adding new file(s) or folder(s), a compression window appears. The compression time and file size will depend on your computer processing speed and file size. (eg.
Lock-PC Introduction Please select “Lock-PC” on user interface A window will appear asking for password. Please enter password to enter into main Lock-PC window In the Lock-PC window, you can set password, time, desired image and word display. If you select multiple images, it will display them in slide show mode with 5 second intervals. There are two ways to disable PC-Lock, 1. Plug in the USB flash drive or 2. Enter password to disable Lock-PC.
Web Account Introduction Please select “Web Account” on the user interface A window will appear asking for password. Please enter password to enter into main Web Account window.
Web Account List: Displays all stored web accounts Add new web account： Adding a new web account For web account(s) that wish to be stored, please enter the correct password and account name and enter the account. An Ur-Smart pop-up screen will appear.
Web Account Maintenance: You can modify and change web account details in this window Select the account that you wish to change / modify and click on “edit” 27
Instant Messenger Introduction Please select “Instant Messenger” on the user interface Enter your instant messenger account into the pop-up screen by Ur-Smart.
My Browser Introduction Please select “My Browser” on the user interface On initial use, it will ask if you wish to backup a copy of your “My Favorites” from PC to your USB flash drive 29
Software Search Introduction Please select “Software Search” on the user interface Enter keywords to search for installation free portable softwares This function links to http://portableapps.com to search for your desired password.
