Maintaining the C764 Climber
Because of its advanced design, the C764 climber requires little maintenance
beyond periodic cleaning, which is explained in this section. Keep in mind that,
as owner of this machine, you are solely responsible for its maintenance.
CAUTION: Turn OFF and unplug the climber from the power outlet before
performing any maintenance tasks, such as cleaning.
CLEANING THE CLIMBER
On a daily basis, use mild soap and water on a damp, soft, clean cloth to clean
the foot pedals, handrails, and casing. This removes any dirt or dust which might
affect the smooth operation of the climber.
CAUTION: Never pour water or spray liquids on the electronic console or
climber. Allow the climber to dry completely before using.
Clean the surface of the electronic console with a damp, clean sponge or soft
cloth. Dry the surface thoroughly with a clean towel.
Important: Do not pour or spray liquids on the electronic console and take
special care when cleaning the console display to avoid scratching its surface.
Vacuum around the unit every week to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt.
ACCESSING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER AND ODOMETER
At the start-up prompt, press and release the WORK LEVEL/SPEED keys
simultaneously to find out what software version number you have and deter-
mine the total number of floors climbed.
A software version number such as 1.05 appears in the display. Press ENTER
and the total number of floors climbed appears. Multiply that number by 10 to
determine the actual number of feet climbed. Press ENTER and the start-up
prompt appears.
SERVICING THE CLIMBER
Do not attempt to service the C764 yourself except for the maintenance tasks
described in this manual. The C764 does not contain any user-serviceable parts
or parts that require lubrication. For information about product operation or
service, contact an authorized Precor dealer at 1-800-4-PRECOR.
