6. Replace the display console. (Refer to Diagram 3) Once
the handrail clamp is secured, hold the display console
above the upper column and thread the ribbon cable down
through the column and out its base. Carefully lower the
display onto the upper column. Be sure not to crimp or
pinch the ribbon cable. Replace the 3 bolts and washers
and tighten them using a 5/32" Allen wrench.
Note: For those assembling the C764 unit, complete the
assembly process by continuing with steps 4d through 7d
in the
C764 Owner’s Manual
.
7. Reconnect the ribbon cable. Plug the connector into the
receptacle (refer to Diagram 2). Make sure that all pins are
aligned and fully engaged. Gently push the excess ribbon
cable and the connectors up into the column support.
8. Replace the rubber boot. Lower the rubber boot back into
place (refer to Diagram 2) over the base frame and upper
column support mounts. Make sure that the boot seats
correctly over the plastic casing.
You have completed the installation of the C764 vertical
handlebars. The vertical handlebars are for balance during a
workout. Excessive pulling or strain on the handlebars may
loosen the handrail clamp bolts. Occasionally check the
handrail clamp bolts and tighten them when necessary.
