4.2 UC Surface Controls

4.2.1 Channel Controls
1. Selected Channel Name. Double-click on the name to customize it. This
field follows the currently selected channel.
2. Channel Color. UC Surface allows you color-code your channels, click here
to select a custom color. This field follows the currently selected channel.
3. Link. Channels can be stereo linked in odd-even pairs.
This control follows the currently selected channel.
4. Channel Select. Click to select a channel.
5. Solo Button. Turns Soloing On and Off.
6. Mute Button. Turns Muting On and Off.
7. Pan Controls. The pan control sets the channel’s relative position in the
left/right stereo mix. When a pair of channels is stereo linked, the pan
control sets the spread of the channels in the left/right stereo mix.
8. Input Clip. This indicates that your input has exceeded 0 dB FS. Click to clear.
9. Channel Fader. Controls the Overall Level of the Channel. By default,
all fader levels will be down on launch to avoid unwanted noise.
10. Level Meter. Displays the Pre-fader Level of Each Channel.
4.2.2 Device Controls
At the top of the UC Surface window are remote controls for the front panel
options on your Studio-series interface. Additionally, you will find the option
to select which monitor mix is being routed to your S/PDIF outputs. Clicking
the Reset button will restore the UC Surface mix settings to factory default.
