Jack Benoudiz, emigrante europeo elige radicarse en Venezuela,
con su joven grupo familiar, a principios de la década de los
años 80, adaptándose rápidamente a las costumbres de esta
tierra de gracia y convirtiéndose en un ciudadano ejemplar de
nuestro país. El Sr. Jack, con su inquebrantable determinación
por construir un mejor futuro para su familia y para esta nación,
fue y sigue siendo una fuente de inspiración, trabajo y aporte
de progreso para todas las personas que lo acompañan en la
formación y consolidación de la corporación PRESS.
Desde su llegada y hasta el año 1985, El Sr. Jack se dedicó al
comercio de productos de hogar, específicamente, artículos de
cocina, tales como: ollas, cacerolas, cubiertos de mesa, sartenes,
vajillas y utensilios de cocina, entre otros. El inicio fue duro, sin
embargo, con resultados muy gratificantes, productivo y de gran
experiencia para el desarrollo de los sucesivos negocios. Recorrió
y conoció la mayoría de las regiones de este país, estableciendo
relaciones comerciales y personales de gran valor.
En 1.985 constituye ALMACÉN LA SAMARITANA, una gran tienda
de ventas al detal y al por mayor de artículos para el hogar,
ferretería, juguetes y navidad. La mayoría de la mercancía
importada directamente desde Panamá y China. Además de
distribuir importantes marcas de fabricación nacional. Esta
tienda se convirtió en un ícono de ventas en el centro de la
ciudad de Caracas.
En 1.992, dada la magnitud de ventas que generaba, el Sr. Jack,
junto con la visión de negocios de su hijo Sam Benoudiz, fundan
una nueva sociedad comercial denominada SAMISAN IMPORT,
destinada exclusivamente a las ventas al por mayor para todo
el país, ampliando las categorías de productos comercializadas,
convirtiéndose rápidamente en el distribuidor mayorista más
fuerte del sector, por su variedad, confiabilidad y servicio.
En 1998, la dinámica comercial del mercado comienza a
evolucionar hacia la especialización de productos, por tal razón,
Samisan Import se convierte en PRESS VENEZUELA CORP., C.A.
con el objetivo de enfocarse en la importación y distribución
de Utensilios de cocina, creando la marca PRESS. En cada año,
durante una década, la marca fue creciendo fuertemente y
posicionándose como líder absoluto del mercado venezolano.
En 2009, la marca PRESS inicia su proceso de expansión regional,
abriendo su filial PRESS COLOMBIA CORP., S.A.S. ubicada en
Bogotá y captando la distribución de las principales cadenas y
clientes institucionales en Colombia.
En 2014, continúa su proceso de internacionalización, logra una
asociación estratégica con un socio mexicano, dando origen a
PRESS MÉXICO CORP., S.A DE C.V. Ubicada en el Distrito Federal
de Ciudad de México.
Entre 2014 y 2016, la corporación para fortalecer sus actividades
de compras internacionales, decide establecer una oficina y una
moderna bodega en China para optimizar la logística de nuestras
operaciones, apoyando los planes de expansión de la marca.
En 2017, la marca PRESS inició su presencia comercial a través de
distribuidores exclusivos en Panamá, Perú y Uruguay.

Jack Benoudiz, European immigrant chooses to settle in Venezuela with
his young family group at the beginning of the 80s, adapting quickly to
the customs of this land of grace and becoming an exemplary citizen
of our country. Mr. Jack with his unwavering determination to build a
better future for his family and for this nation was and continues to be a
source of inspiration, work and contribution of progress for all the people
who accompany him in the formation and consolidation of the PRESS
Corporation.
From his arrival until 1985, Mr. Jack devoted himself to the trade of
household products, specifically, kitchen items such as: pots, pans, and
tableware, crockery and kitchen utensils among others. The beginning
was hard, however, with very rewarding result, productive and of great
experience for the development of successive businesses. He traveled
and met most of the regions of this country establishing commercial and
personal relations of great value.
In 1985 he creates ALMACEN LA SAMARTINA, a large retail and wholesale
store for household goods, hardware, toys and Christmas. Most of the
merchandise imported directly from Panama and China in addition to
distributing important brands of national manufacture. This store became
a sales icon in downtown Caracas.
In 1992, given the magnitude of sales that it generated, Mr. Jack, along with
the business vision of his son Sam Benoudiz founded a new commercial
company called SAMISAN IMPORT, destined exclusively to wholesale
for the whole country, expanding the categories of products marketed
quickly becoming the strongest wholesale distributor in the sector for its
variety, reliability and service.
In 1998, the commercial dynamics of the market begin to evolve towards
the specialization of products, for this reason, Samisan import becomes
PRESS VENEZUELA CORP., C,A, with the aim of focusing on the import
and distribution of kitchen utensils creating the PRESS brand. In each year,
for a decade, the brand strongly grew and position itself as the absolute
leader of the Venezuelan market.
In 2009, the PRESS brand began its process of regional expansion
opening its subsidiary PRESS COLOMBIA CORP., S.A.S. located in Bogota
and capturing the distribution of the main chains and clients in Colombia.
In 2014, its process of internationalization continued. It achieves a strategic
partnership with a Mexican partner, giving rise to PRESS MEXICO CORP.,
S.A DE C.V. located in the Federal District of Mexico City.
Between 2014 and 2016, the corporation decides to establish an office
and a modern warehouse in China in order to strengthen its international
purchasing activities to optimize the logistics of our operations supporting
the expansion plans of the brand.
In 2017, the PRESS brand began its commercial presence through
exclusive distributors in Panama, Peru and Uruguay.
