16. Set up your phone

Use this app to control and customise phone settings .

- On the Home screen or list menu, tap . Or, tap[ ] > System settings.

Wireless & Networks

SIM management

- Check your SIM card information.

- Set the SIM card for data connection.

Wi-Fi

Activate the Wi-Fi feature to connect to a Wi-Fi network and access the Internet or other network

devices.

Bluetooth

Activate the Bluetooth feature to exchange information over short distances.

Data usage

Keep track of your data usage amount, and customise the settings for the limitation.

Set up the following items.

•Airplane mode

Activate Flight mode to disable all wireless functions on your device. You can use only

nonnetwork features.

Airplane mode disables the wireless features in order to reduce potential interference with

aircraft operation and other electrical equipment.

•VPN

Set up and manage virtual private networks (VPNs).

•Tethering & portable hotspot

- Set to use your device as a wireless modem by making a USB connection with a computer.

- Set to use your device as a wireless access point for other devices.

- Activate the Bluetooth tethering feature to share your mobile network with computers via

Bluetooth.

•NFC

Activate the NFC feature. Use NFC technology to exchage files between your phone and other

NFC-enabled devices quickly.

•Android Beam

Turn on the Android Beam. Use the Android Beam feature to send data, such as webpages and

contacts, to NFC-Enabled devices.

•Mobile networks

- Data connection: Use to allow packet switching data networks for network services.

- 3G service: Enable the 3G service.Contact your mobile operator for details.
