SAFETY TIPS
This appliance is only intended for household use.
- Only plug the appliance into an earthed outlet. Use an earthed extension lead with a large enough dia
meter (min. 3x1 mm) and completely unroll the extension lead (otherwise it will become too hot).
- Make sure that the extension lead will not touch the hot appliance and that it will lie safely on the
ground so that no one can trip over it.
- If the frying plate or lead are damaged, we recommend that you stop using the appliance and bring it
back to the shop for repair. A damaged lead can only be replaced by our service department.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when children are present. It becomes very hot. Be careful for
yourself as well; do not touch the hot stone or baking plate while the appliance is switched on.
- After you switch on the appliance, the bottom will become hot. We recommend that you place heat-
resistant (nonflammable) protection between the appliance and the table surface, especially if the table
top is sensitive to heat. Avoid plastic.
- Do not place the appliance on a damp or hot surface.
- Do not place the appliance on or close to flammable items such as curtains, a roll of paper towels, etc.
- Remove the plug from the outlet when you are not using the appliance, when you are cleaning it, or if
the appliance stops working while you are using it.
- Allow the appliance to cool off for at least one hour before you clean, move or put it away for storage.
CLEANING
FIRST SWITCH OFF THE APPLIANCE AND REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE OUTLET.
Allow all parts to cool off before you clean the appliance.
Maintenance of the stone and grill plate
- Clean the appliance after each use, as this will prevent bits of food from caking on.
- After use, let the appliance cool off for at least one hour.
- Never throw cold water on the hot stone. This would damage the appliance, and hot water could spatter
on you.
- Clean the stone and grill plate with paper towels. Bits of food that are difficult to remove should be
loosened with a bit of cooking oil (lets it for 5 minutes). The casing can be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Do not use a cleaning agent or abrasive, as they can harm the natural characteristics of the stone.
- Do not scrape off food with a sharp object; this could damage the smooth surface.
- Do not immerse the stone in water.
- Do not clean the stone in a dishwasher. The grill plate may be washed in the dishwasher for a thorough
cleaning.
- If you have fried fish on the stone, we recommend that you rub it lightly with some vinegar or lemon
juice.
Maintenance of the holder and the stainless steel plate
- Wipe the outside clean with a paper towel and with a damp sponge with a bit of washing-up liquid.
- Make sure that no washing-up liquid remains on the steel plate and that the appliance is thoroughly
dried off.
Maintenance of the heating element and the electric part
- Never immerse the heating element or the electric part in water.
- Clean them with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Maintenance of the pans
- Wash the pans in water with a bit of washing-up liquid in it.
