Description

This test checks for proper functionality of

EUT

's dynamic range control in both 2-channel and 5.1-

channel modes.

Method

If the EUT offers compression ON and compression OFF modes, the test should be repeated for

each mode.

Play Track 22 and immediately click the

[OK]

button to start the test; when prompted, play Track 61

and immediately click the

[OK]

button to resume.

The dScope measures the amplitude of each output channel against track time (and hence against

level), using a 400Hz band-pass filter to reduce the effects of noise.
