Method
The test is firstly performed with the Sub ON and all the pother speakers set to "small". The other
parts of the test have the Sub turned OFF, the left and right speakers set to "large", and all
combinations of "large"/"small" for the other speakers.
For each test, play track 61 and when the track has started playing, immediately click the
[OK]
button
to start the test.
The dScope measures the amplitude of each output channel against track time (and hence against
level), using a 400Hz band-pass filter to reduce the effects of noise.
Specification
The following results should be expected:
No compression
Output decreases linearly
Line mode (variable)
Output is flat for variable line mode compression, then decreases
linearly.
Full Line Mode
Output is flat at -11dBFS for 11 seconds, then decreases linearly.
RF Mode
Output is flat at -22dBFS for 22 seconds, then decreases linearly.
