About using Google Voice Search
™
when connected to a car kit
If your device is connected to a Bluetooth enabled car kit, you can use Google Voice Search
™
. Google Voice Search
™
lets
you search for information on your device or over the Internet, and also allows you to update information on your device
hands-free. For example, you can check the weather, search for a restaurant, or create an appointment.
To use Google Voice Search
™
when your device is connected to a car kit, you must set up Bluetooth technology for Google
Voice Search
™
. Your device must be paired with and connected to the car kit, and your contacts must be synced with the
car kit.

Turn on Bluetooth technology for Google Voice Search
™
To use Google Voice Search
™
when your device is connected to a Bluetooth enabled car kit, you must turn on the Bluetooth
headset switch in the Google Voice Search
™
settings. This setting lets you record and hear audio through your connected
Bluetooth enabled device.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two
fingers, or twice using one finger.

Tap > Google > Search & Now > Voice.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth headset switch.
Use Google Voice Search
™
from a car kit
Your contacts must be synced with the car kit.
When your device is connected to a car kit using Bluetooth technology, Google Voice Search
™
responds to your request
using audio through your car speakers. If Google Voice Search
™
can't find a response for your request, it displays search
results on your device.
1. From your car kit, search your contacts for #VoiceSearch.
2. From your car kit, call #VoiceSearch.
3. Say your question or other request.
