Mobile hotspot
When you use the mobile hotspot feature, your device becomes a wireless access point for other Wi-Fi enabled devices to
connect to and access the Internet. For the best performance, plug your device into a battery charger and connect it to a
power source.
Since the mobile hotspot feature uses the mobile network, you might incur additional data charges.
Use Internet tethering to share your mobile network connection
If your device has a data plan, you can share its Internet connection with another device, such as a laptop or tablet. You can
tether your devices using an appropriate cable or a Bluetooth connection.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two
fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap > More > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.
3. Do one of the following:
• Connect your device to another device using an appropriate cable, and then turn on the USB tethering switch.
• Turn on the Bluetooth tethering switch, and then connect your device to another device using Bluetooth
technology.
To stop sharing your Internet connection, turn o the USB tethering or Bluetooth tethering switch.
Use mobile hotspot to share your Internet connection
Before you turn on mobile hotspot,
confirm that your device is connected to the mobile network.
When you set up your mobile hotspot, record the name of your mobile hotspot and the password. You, or the user of
another device that wants to connect to your mobile hotspot, must know the name of your mobile hotspot and the
password to connect.
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two
fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap > More > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.
3. Turn on the Mobile Hotspot switch.
4. To change your settings, tap Set up Mobile Hotspot. Make your changes, and then tap Save.
To stop sharing your Internet connection, turn
o the Mobile Hotspot switch.
View a list of devices that are connected to your mobile hotspot
Make sure that mobile hotspot is turned on.
