IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
• NEVER wrap the power cord around the dryer. Any pulling, twisting, severe
folding or bending can damage the cord, especially at the point of entry into
the appliance, which may rupture the cord and can cause an electrical short or
other failure.
• Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance with a twisted, bent or
otherwise damaged cord, or if the appliance receives power irregularly. If cord
is damaged, or for irregular power issues, refer to instructions in the WARNING
section further below.
STORAGE
• Dryer should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage. DO NOT
apply stress or tension to the cord’s point of entry into the dryer unit. During
storage, cord should remain loose with no tight bends or folds, and appliance
should be placed in a secure, dry location out of reach of children.
When using electrical appliances,especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER: As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even
when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
2. DO NOT use while bathing.
3. DO NOT place or store this appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it” immediately. DO NOT reach into the water.
6. DO NOT use an appliance with a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged cord.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury
to persons:
1. An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Turn off the switch and
unplug the electrical cord when not in use.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or
individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly,
or if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service
center for examination and repair.
NOTE: PRO Beauty Tools does not have an authorized service center. However, if this appliance
is still under warranty, return it to the PRO Beauty Tools Consumer Service Department for
replacement.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or wrap the cord around the
appliance.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and
the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
9. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where
oxygen is being administered.
10. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
11. DO NOT direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments (when furnished) may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
13. DO NOT place appliance on any surface while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF if the temperature exceeds
comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or air outlet openings. In the event that the appliance
stops during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the
thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this
appliance near water (e.g., bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean
and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from
the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist
prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it yourself. This appliance has no
user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow the appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap
the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle
cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting or straining cord, especially
at plug connections.

ALMACENAMIENTO
• EL Secador debe desconectarse y dejar enfriar antes de almacenarlo. NO
aplique fuerza o tensión en el punto de entrada del cable de la unidad.
Durante el almacenamiento, el cable debe quedar suelto, sin dobleces o
pliegues apretados, y colocado en un lugar seguro, seco y fuera del alcance de
los niños.
Al utilizar artefactos eléctricos, especialmente en presencia de niños, deben seguirse
siempre precauciones de seguridad básicas, entre las que se incluyen las siguientes:

adecuadamente, o si se ha caído, dañado o sumergido en agua. Devuelva el artefacto a un
centro de servicio para que lo revisen y lo reparen.
NOTA: PRO Beauty Tools no cuenta con un centro de servicio autorizado. Sin embargo, si el
artefacto todavía se encuentra bajo garantía, devuélvalo al Departamento de servicio a los
consumidores de PRO Beauty Tools para que se lo cambien.
5. Mantenga el cable alejado de las superficies calientes. NO jale, tuerza ni enrolle el cable
alrededor del artefacto.
6. Nunca bloquee las aberturas para aire del artefacto y nunca lo apoye sobre una superficie
blanda, como ser una cama o sillón, donde pueden bloquearse las aberturas para aire.

7. Nunca lo use mientras duerme.

9. NO lo utilice al aire libre o en lugares donde se están usando aerosoles o se está

10. NO utilice este artefacto con una extensión de cable.
11. NO dirija el aire caliente hacia los ojos u otras áreas sensibles al calor.
12. Los accesorios (en caso de que se haya suministrado alguno) pueden estar calientes durante el
uso. Déjelos enfriar antes de manipularlos.

Este artefacto está equipado con un termostato que lo apagará si la temperatura excede el nivel
tolerable debido a un bloqueo parcial en las aberturas de entrada o salida de aire. En caso de que
el artefacto se detenga durante el uso, apague los interruptores y déjelo enfriar mientras que el
termostato reponda automáticamente. Durante el uso, NO bloquee las aberturas de aire. Cuando
utilice el artefacto cerca del agua (por ejemplo, en los cuartos de baño), se recomienda el uso de
un tomacorrientes protegido por un disyuntor.
MANTENIMIENTO
Su artefacto prácticamente no requiere mantenimiento. No necesita lubricación. Mantenga las
superficies que se calientan limpias y libres de polvo, suciedad y aerosoles para el cabello. Si es
necesario limpiar el artefacto, desenchúfelo de la fuente de energía y limpie el exterior con un
trapo húmedo. Si el cable está retorcido, desenrédelo antes de usar el artefacto.
ADVERTENCIA: Si el artefacto no funciona bien, no intente repararlo usted mismo. Este
artefacto no tiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Cuando el artefacto no esté en uso, desenchúfelo.

Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you: a portable unit that plugs into the electrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by your electrician.
The National Electrical Code now requires a GFCI in the bathrooms, garages and outdoor outlets of all new homes. WHY DO YOU NEED A GFCI?

Su electricista le puede ayudar a decidir qué tipo es el mejor para las unidad portátiles que se conectan a la toma de corriente o una unidad permanente instalada por un
