BALL VALVES
Ball Valves or (Shut Off Valves) that comply with ANSI/ASME B16.44-2002 manually operat-
ed metallic gas valves for use in above ground piping systems up to 5psi. Valves must be
used with the following requirements: a) Gas appliances must have an accessible 1/2 PSIG
manual shut-off valve upstream of connectors and a union to allow removal of appliance, b)
An accessible manual gas shut-off valve is required upstream of each pressure regulator on
elevated pressure systems. You may use T100 valves on the elevated pressure side of CSST
installations. Standard approv
ed gas shut off valves may be used on low pressure
(Appliance) side of installations.
