Front panel controls
Switching on and off
The switch on the left hand side of the front panel turns the unit on and off. The blue LED above the ON/OFF
switch shows that the unit is switched on.
Selecting playback mode
MODE on the remote control toggles between the sampling frequencies 44,1 and 88,2kHz (upsampling) and
Sonic2 playback mode (sampling frequency 176,4kHz).
To store
Sonic2 (I

S) ore upsampling to 88,2kHz as the default playback mode, press OK. The selected
playback mode will be shown in the display.
To be able to use the
Sonic2
playback mode, the output
Out Sonic
AND
the input
Clock In
have to
be connected to the corresponding connectors on the Pro-Ject DAC Box RS or on the Pre Box RS
Digital.
If one of the connections is missing or faulty,
Sonic2
playback mode cannot be selected
.
Inserting a disc
Switch the unit on. Remove the lid and the magnetic clamp. Insert the disc, with the label side facing upwards.
Place the magnetic clamp on the CD and put the lid on. The display shows:
Loading, don`t open ... . After
loading, the display shows the total number of tracks on the disc and the total duration of the disc.

Not using the magnetic clamp may cause unexpected behaviour!
Changing the colour of the display
Back Play view will change the colour of the characters displayed and the background colour of the display.
OK confirms the selection. To access that function, playback must on.
