3 . W ireless N etw ork Configura tion Utility
3 .1 Ra UI W ireless Utility & W indow s Zero Configura tion (W ZC)
The Co nfiguration Utility is a po werful application that helps yo u to co nfigure the
W ireless LAN adapter and mo nito r the link status and statistics during the
co mmunication pro cess.
W hen the adapter is installed, the co nfiguratio n utility will be displayed auto matically.
This adapter will auto co nnect to wireless device which has better signal strength and no
wireless security setting.
In W indow s X P, it pro vides wireless co nfiguratio n utility named “ W indows Zero
co nfiguration” which pro vides basic co nfiguratio n functio n for Ralink W ireless NIC,
Ralink’ s Utility (RaUI) pro vides W PA supplicant functio nality. To make it easier for user to
select the co rrect utility, RaUI will let user make the selection when it first runs after
windo ws XP bo o ts.
