W i-Fi Pro tected Setup (W PS) is the latest wireless netwo rk techno logy which makes
wireless netwo rk setup beco me very simple. If yo u have W PS-enabled wireless access
po int, and yo u want to establish a secure co nnectio n to it, yo u do n’t have to configure
the wireless access po int and setup data encryptio n by yo urself. All yo u have to do is to
go to the W PS setup page of this wireless card, click a butto n, and then press a specific
butto n o r enter a set o f 8 -digit co de o n the wireless access po int yo u wish to establish a
secure co nnectio n - just three simple steps!
Fo r o lder wireless access po ints, it’ s possible to perform a firmware upg rade to become
a W PS-enabled access point. Since they may not have a hardware butto n to press fo r
W PS setup, yo u can use an alternative W PS setup metho d - input the pin co de. Every
