Turn off unit and let cool before ser-
vicing. Only a qualied service person
should service and repair heater.
Follow the instructions below to replace the ther-
mocouple to your unit. Refer to the illustrations to
locate parts.
1. Remove the 2 screws securing retainer bracket
to the pilot. Ignitor electrodes may detach from
the pilot when the bracket is removed. Be certain
to reinstall them in the correct position.
2. Remove the old thermocouple from the pilot.
Follow the tubing from the thermocouple to the
control valve. Unscrew the thermocouple from
the control valve.
3. Screw the end of the new thermocouple into the
control valve.
4. Position the wiring of the new thermocouple the
same way as the old thermocouple.
5. Place end of new thermocouple onto the pilot.
Secure thermocouple and ignitor electrodes with
retainer bracket and 2 screws removed in step 1.
