This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket*,

permanently located, manufactured (mobile) home,

where not prohibited by local codes.

This appliance is only for use with the type of gas

indicated on the rating plate. This appliance is not

convertible for use with other gases.

INSTALLATION NOTICE: This heater is intended for use as supplemental heat. Use this heater along with your primary heating system. Do not install this heater as your primary heat source. This heater requires an external regulator (not supplied). lnstall the external regulator between the heater and gas supply. INSTALLATION Continued CHECKING GAS CONNECTIONS WARNING: Test all gas piping and connections for leaks after installing or servicing. Correct all leaks immediately. WARNING: Never use an open flame to check for a leak. Apply a mixture of liquid soap and water to all joints. Bubbles forming show a leak. Correct all leaks immediately. INSTALLATION Continued INSTALLING LOGS WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use only parts may result in property damage or personal injury. CAUTION: After installation and periodically thereafter, check to ensure that no flame comes in contact with any log. With the heater set to High, check to see if flames contact any log. If so, reposition logs according to the log installation instructions in this manual. Flames contacting logs will create soot.

NOTICE: During initial operation of new fireplace, burning logs will give off a paper-burning smell. Orange flame will also be present. Open a window to vent smell. This will only last a few hours. OPERATING HEATER Continued a. Set temperature: Press “Temp” button, then press or to set desired room temperature. Burner will operate to maintain set room temperature. MANUAL OVERRIDE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS We provide the manual override control system in the event of power outage. Install battery for manual Ignitor: 1. Unscrew the ignitor cap. 2. Insert a AAA type battery with its anode (“+”) pointing out. 3. Screw the ignitor cap back.

PILOT FLAME PATTERN DISCONNECT FAN F igu re 15 sh ow s a c o rrec t p ilo t flame pattern. Figure 16 shows an incorrect pilot flame pattern. The incorrect pilot flame is not touching the thermocouple.This will cause the thermocouple to cool. W hen the thermocouple cools, the heater will shut down. If pilot flame pattern is incorrect, as shown in Figure 18  Turn heater off (see TO TURN OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE, page 9)  see troubleshooting, page 15. 1.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Continued inlet hole about two inches from where the pilot flame comes out of the pilot assembly (see Figure 22). INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS For CORNER SURROUND AND HEARTH READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. Check to see that you have the following. If any part or parts are missing, contact the dealer where you bought the surround and hearth. TOOLS REQUIRED: Measuring Tape, Pencil, Level, #2 Phillips Screw Driver, Hammer, Electric Drill, 5/6" Drill Bit, Hand or Electric Saw INSTALLATION: 1. Surround must be installed flush with wall. 6. Place the assembled fireplace on the middle where it is 30” from the corner and form a 45 degree angle to each side wall. Move the assembled surround to the corner, with side panels close to side walls. Move the fireplace to where it can properly attach the surround. 7. Move the surround away, mark floor or wall behind fireplace for gas line entrance. Connect inlet gas pipe. IMPORTANT: Make sure there are no electrical lines where gas piping will go through floor or wall. 8.
