The POWER 1295I treadmill offers an impressive selection of features designed to make your workouts at home more effective and enjoyable. And when you’re not exercising, the unique treadmill can be folded up, requiring less than half the floor space of other treadmills. reading this manual, please see the front cover of this manual.
PART IDENTIFICATION CHART Use the drawings below to identify small parts used for assembly. The number in parentheses below each drawing is the key number of the part, from the PART LIST near the end of this manual. The number following the key number is the quantity used for assembly. Note: If a part is not in the hardware kit, check to see whether it is preattached. Extra parts may be included.
ASSEMBLY • To hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480 • Left parts are marked “L” or “Left” and right parts are marked “R” or “Right.” • Assembly requires two persons. • To identify small parts, see page 7. • Place all parts in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until you finish all assembly steps.
2. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. 2 81 A Remove the tie securing the Upright Wire (81) to the front of the Base (94). 81 Next, identify the Right Upright (90). Have a second person hold the Right Upright near the Base (94). See the inset drawing. Tie the wire tie (A) in the Right Upright (90) securely around the end of the Upright Wire (81). Then, insert the Upright Wire into the lower end of the Right Upright as you pull the other end of the wire tie through the Right Upright.
4. Hold the Right Upright (90) against the Base (94). Make sure not to pinch the Upright Wire (81). 4 Next, hold a Wheel (97) inside the Base (94), and insert a 3/8" x 1 3/4" Screw (62) through the Base and the Wheel as shown; do not fully tighten the Screw yet.
6. Identify the Left and Right Handrails (86, 87). Attach the Right Handrail (87) to the Right Upright (90) with two 5/16" x 2 1/2" Screws (28) and two 5/16" Star Washers (11) in the location shown; start both Screws, and then tighten them. Make sure not to pinch the Upright Wire (81), and make sure that the wire is on the indicated side of the Upright. 6 28 E 11 86 28 Attach the Left Handrail (86) to the Left Upright (89) in the same way. Note: There are no wires on the left side.
8. With the help of a second person, hold the console assembly (F) near the Right Upright (90). 8 F Set the console assembly (F) on the brackets on the Right Handrail (87) and Left Handrail (not shown); do not pinch any wires. Insert the Upright Wire (81) through the indicated looped tie (M). See the inset drawing. Connect the Upright Wire (81) to the wire (G) from the console assembly (F). The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place. If they do not, turn one connector and try again.
10. IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the Pulse Crossbar Bottom (95), do not use power tools and do not overtighten the #10 x 3/4" Screws (9). 10 Attach the Pulse Crossbar Bottom (95) to the Handrails (86, 87) with four #10 x 3/4" Screws (9) and four #10 Star Washers (5); start all four Screws, and then tighten them. 9 5 95 86 9 5 87 11. Identify the Right Handrail Cover (92), and set it on the Right Handrail (87).
12. Carefully slide the Upright Crossbar (58) between the Left and Right Uprights (89, 90). Attach the Upright Crossbar with the four 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (31) that you removed in step 5 and four 5/16" Star Washers (11); start all four Screws, and then tighten them. 12 90 11 13. Note: If the treadmill is assembled on a smooth surface, it may roll forward during this step. 89 58 31 31 11 13 Raise the Frame (56) to the upright position. IMPORTANT: Do not raise the Frame past the vertical position.
14. Remove the 5/16" Nut (12) and the 5/16" x 1 3/4" Bolt (6) from the bracket on the Base (94). 14 Next, orient the Storage Latch (53) as shown. J Attach the lower end of the Storage Latch (53) to the bracket on the Base (94) with the 5/16" x 1 3/4" Bolt (6) and the 5/16" Nut (12). 53 Then, raise the Storage Latch (53) to a vertical position, and remove the tie (J). 12 15. Remove the 5/16" Nut (12) and the 5/16" x 2 1/4" Bolt (3) from the bracket on the Latch Crossbar (38).
. Firmly tighten the four 3/8" x 2 3/8" Screws (7) and the two 3/8" x 1 1/4" Screws (63). 16 89 Next, tighten the two 3/8" x 1 3/4" Screws (62); the Wheels (97) must turn freely. 82 Next, set the Left Inner Base Cover (50) onto the lower end of the Left Upright (89). Then, slide the Left Base Cover (82) downward and press it onto the Left Inner Base Cover. 90 Next, set the Right Inner Base Cover (96) onto the lower end of the Right Upright (90).

HOW TO USE THE TREADMILL HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER CORD more amps. To avoid overloading the circuit, do not plug other electrical devices, except for lowpower devices such as cell phone chargers, into the surge suppressor or into an outlet on the same circuit. IMPORTANT: If the treadmill is connected to an AFCI-equipped outlet and your circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the treadmill is used, see the front cover of this manual to purchase an arc filter.

HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to cold temperatures, allow it to warm to room temperature before you turn on the power. If you do not do this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components. 1. Insert the key into the console. Plug in the power cord (see page 18). Next, locate the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Make sure that the switch is in the reset position.
4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. Vertical Distance (VRT FT or VRT M)—The distance you have walked or run in vertical feet or vertical meters. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the Incline increase and decrease buttons or one of the numbered incline buttons. Each time you press the Incline increase or decrease button, the incline setting will change by 0.5 percent.
6. Measure your heart rate if desired. 8. When you are finished exercising, remove the key from the console. You can measure your heart rate using either the handgrip heart rate monitor or a compatible heart rate monitor. For information about purchasing an optional chest heart rate monitor, see page 25. Step onto the foot rails, press the Stop button, and adjust the incline of the treadmill to zero.
HOW TO CONNECT YOUR TABLET TO THE CONSOLE If a different speed and/or incline setting is programmed for the next segment, the speed and/or incline setting will flash in the display to alert you. The treadmill will then automatically adjust to the speed and incline settings for the next segment. The console supports Bluetooth connections to tablets via the iFit–Smart Cardio Equipment app and to compatible heart rate monitors. Note: Other Bluetooth connections are not supported.
5. Disconnect your tablet from the console if desired. THE SETTINGS MODE 1. Select the settings mode. To disconnect your tablet from the console, first select the disconnect option in the iFit–Smart Cardio Equipment app. Then, press and hold the iFit Sync button on the console until the LED on the console turns solid green. To select the settings mode, press the settings button (gear). The first settings screen will appear in the display.
Display Test—This screen is intended to be used by service technicians to identify whether the display is working correctly. Demo Mode—The currently selected demo mode option will appear in the display. The console features a demo mode, designed to be used if the treadmill is displayed in a store. If the demo mode is turned on, the console will not turn off and the display will not be reset when you finish exercising. Press the Speed increase button repeatedly to select a demo mode option.
HOW TO USE THE SOUND SYSTEM WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE HOW TO USE THE TABLET HOLDER IMPORTANT: The tablet holder (H) is designed for use with most full-size tablets. Do not place any other electronic device or object in the tablet holder. 1. Place or hold your Bluetooth-enabled device near the console. 2. Turn on your device’s Bluetooth setting. To insert a tablet into the tablet holder (H), set the bottom edge of the tablet in the tray. Then, pull the clip over the top edge of the tablet.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
HOW TO FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL HOW TO MOVE THE TREADMILL To avoid damaging the treadmill, adjust the incline to zero before you fold the treadmill. Then, remove the key and unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 lbs. (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill. Before moving the treadmill, fold it as described at the left. CAUTION: Make sure that the storage latch is in the locked position. Moving the treadmill may require two people.
MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING MAINTENANCE c. Check the power switch located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the switch has tripped. To reset the power switch, wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in. Regular maintenance is important for optimal performance and to reduce wear. Inspect and properly tighten all parts each time the treadmill is used. Replace any worn parts immediately.
SYMPTOM: The walking belt slows when walked on SYMPTOM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on a. Use only a surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 18. a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
SYMPTOM: The tablet holder does not stay in place a a. Rotate the tablet holder (B) until it faces backward. Then, tighten the indicated screw (C) slightly until the tablet holder stays in place when it is rotated to the desired position.
EXERCISE GUIDELINES Burning Fat—To burn fat effectively, you must exercise at a low intensity level for a sustained period of time. During the first few minutes of exercise, your body uses carbohydrate calories for energy. Only after the first few minutes of exercise does your body begin to use stored fat calories for energy. If your goal is to burn fat, adjust the intensity of your exercise until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you stretch—never bounce. 1. Toe Touch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible. Hold for 15 counts, then relax. Repeat 3 times. Stretches: Hamstrings, back of knees and back. 1 2. Hamstring Stretch Sit with one leg extended.
