SAFETY INFORMATION Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. 1. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National Electrical Code and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualified electrician if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring. 2. Turn off electricity at main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation. 3.
PREPARATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assembly the product.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 3. Install the mounting screws (DD) into the outer holes in the mounting bracket (BB). Then, attach the mounting bracket (BB) to the outlet box (not included) using the outlet box screws (EE). 3 BB Hardware Used BB Mounting Bracket x1 DD Mounting Screw x2 EE Outlet Box Screw x2 4. Wrap the bare/green (ground) supply wire around the ground screw preassembled to the mounting bracket (BB).
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 6. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around all wire connectors down to the wire. 6 7. Turn the spliced/taped wires upward and gently push the wires and wire connectors into the outlet box. 7 WARNING: Ensure no wire strands are visible after making connections. Place bare/green and white wire connections on opposite sides of outlet box from the black. 8. Place the ceiling plate (A) over mounting bracket (BB).
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 9. Screw the threaded rod (CC) into coupling in the center of the ceiling plate (A). Use pliers (not included) to tighten the hex nut preassembled to the threaded rod (CC). 9 Note: You may need to adjust the length of the threaded rod (CC) to ensure there is enough thread exposed from center hole of the glass bowl (B) to install the cap (HH). Hardware Used CC Threaded Rod A x1 CC 10. Install two 60 W max. medium-base bulbs (not included) into the sockets on the ceiling plate (A).
CARE AND MAINTENANCE It is recommended the fixtures be wiped down frequently using a soft, dry, or damp cloth. DO NOT use any abrasives such as car wax, polishes, glass cleaners or chemicals, as this will damage the protective coating, allowing moisture and pollutants to come in contact with the finish, which will result in discoloration and pitting. Bulb Replacement: Use 60 W max. medium-base incandescent bulbs or CFL equivalent. TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM Bulb won’t light.
