2. Click the Disk Array icon.
The list of disk arrays appears.
3. Mouse-over the disk array you want and click the Locate button.
The drive carrier LEDs flash for one minute.
Running Media Patrol on a Disk Array
Media Patrol is a routine maintenance procedure that checks the magnetic media
on each disk drive. If Media Patrol encounters a critical error, it triggers PDM if
PDM is enabled on the disk array.

Running Media Patrol
To run Media Patrol:
1. Click the AdminTool tab.
2. Click the Background Activities icon.
The list of background activities appears.
3. Mouse-over Media Patrol and click the Start button.
Stopping, Pausing or Resuming Media Patrol
To stop, pause or resume Media Patrol:
1. Click the AdminTool tab.
2. Click the Background Activities icon.
The list of background appears.
3. Mouse-over Media Patrol and click the Stop, Pause or Resume button.
Running PDM on a Disk Array
Predictive Data Migration (PDM) is the migration of data from the suspect disk
drive to a spare disk drive.

To run PDM on a disk array:
1. Click the AdminTool tab.
