8.3.29 HDR Start Point
Default: Mid Exposure
Use this setting to control the way Promote Control will calculate your HDR image sequences.
Available options are:
Mid Exposure (default) – When you set a middle exposure, Promote Control builds an image
sequence around the preset exposure.
Shadows – Use this option for better control over shadows in your HDR image. Set the longest
exposure to be used and Promote Control will use the remaining settings to build the image
sequence.
Highlights – Use this option for better control over highlights in your HDR image. Set the shortest
exposure to be used and Promote Control will use the remaining settings to build the image
sequence.
8.3.30 HDR Exposure Order
Default: Short -> Long
Use this setting to change how your High Dynamic Range exposure brackets are taken. Default setting of
"Short -> Long" will start with shortest exposures, and proceed towards the longest ones. You may
prefer the reverse order, with longest exposures taken first - in that case change this setting to "Long ->
Short". In either mode, the total time to take a High Dynamic Range bracket sequence will be the same.

Default: No shift
In HDR mode Promote Control steps an equal number of steps up and down from your Mid/Hi/Lo
exposure as specified. Sometimes you may find it useful to shift your HDR brackets towards shadows or
highlights. As an example, HDR bracket of 7 exposures with a step of 2.0EV will result in 7 images taken
as follows:
-6 EV steps from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
-4 EV steps from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
-2 EV step from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
The "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
+2 EV step from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
+4 EV steps from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
+6 EV steps from the "Mid Exposure" shutter speed
If you change this settings to e.g. "1 step(s) to shadows", the same settings will define another
