FRAME ADVANCE
Frame advance lets you view one-stop action frame after
another during playback. Frame advance works well for tapes
recorded at the SP or SLP speed.
1. Press PAUSE on the remote (PLAY/PAUSE on the VCR) to
freeze the action.

Press FR. ADV on the remote each time you want to view
the next frame of the scene.
Press PAUSE or PLAY on the remote (PLAY/PAUSE on the
VCR) to return to normal playback.
VARIABLE SPEED USING THE
SHUTTLE RING
The shuttle ring on the VCR's front panel allows variable speed
searching during playback. The picture is best for tapes recorded
in the SP or SLP speed.
1. In play or still mode, turn the shuttle ring--clockwise for
forward or counterclockwise for reverse---to begin
searching. The farther you turn the dial, the faster the search
speed.
2. Press PLAY/PAUSE to turn off the shuttle feature and return
to normal playback.
ADDITIONAL NOTES ON THE
SHUTTLE DIAL:
In the stop mode, turn the shuttle ring more than half way
clockwise to start fast forward and turn the shuttle ring more
than halfway counterclockwise to start rewind.
Some noise or streaks in the picture are normal during
searching.
After three minutes in still or slow, the VCR will go into stop
mode.
Insert Tape:
Don't forget to insert a recorded
tape when using the search
features.
