Using a Control Word to Reboot the Module
If you need to cold boot the module from the processor without using the
Coldboot mailbox, use control word zero of the output image.
If mailbox messaging is enabled in the configuration:
Use the PTQPDPMV1_OUT_Stat.LastinMailID[0] control word variable to
cold boot the module.
Entering the cold boot command, as shown below, causes word zero (Last in
Mailbox Message ID) of the output image to be used for control, instead of for
routine mailbox handshaking.
If mailbox messaging is disabled in the configuration:
Word zero in the output image is used for control of the operating mode and
is named Set Operating Mode.
Use the PTQPDPMV1_OUT_Stat.Setoperatingmode[0] control word variable
to cold boot the module.
Note: If mailbox messaging was originally enabled when the DTY file was exported from PCB and
imported to the processor, the control word variable PTQPDPMV1_OUT_Stat.LastinMailID[0] will
still be present, even if mailbox messaging has since been disabled. In this case, use
PTQPDPMV1_OUT_Stat.LastinMailID[0] to cold boot the module. Entering the cold boot command
causes word zero of the output image to be used for control and not for mailbox handshaking,
whether or not mailbox messaging is enabled in the configuration.
