Normal and percussion drilling

place,andcanbeactuatedwhilethemachineis
operating.
Drilling
Pushselectorswitch(4)totheleft.
Percussion drilling
Pushselectorswitch(4)totheright.
Tungstencarbidedrillbitsarerequiredfordrilling
concrete,stoneandmasonry.Therotational
directionswitch(10)mustbeintheclockwise
position.
Replacing the keyless chuck (Fig.)
Thedrillchuckissecuredwiththesecuring
screw(16)againstlooseningfromthedrill
spindle.Openthedrillchuckfullyandcompletely
unscrewthesecuringscrew(Caution: lefthand
thread!).
ClampanAllenkey(17)intothedrillchuck.Set
anopen‑endspanner(15mm)ontothespanner
surface(2)ofthedrillspindleandholdtight.
Loosenthedrillchuckwithalightblowonthe
Allenkey.
Screwonthedrillchuckinreverseorder.
Beforetighteningthesecuringscrew(16)
respectively,thequickclampingdrillchuck
mustbetightenedsecurely(tightening
torqueapprox.50Nm).
Screwdriving (see Fig.)
Thedrillspindle(21)isequippedwithaninternal
hexagonforusewithscrewdriverbits(19).After
removingthedrillchuck,ascrewdriverbitcan
beinserteddirectlyintotheinternalhexagon
ofthedrillspindle.Slidethesafetycover(20)
ontothespindlethreadrst,asitwillretainthe
screwdriverbit.
Operational Tips
Sharpening drill bits
OnlyHSSdrillbitsinperfectcondition(HSS
=highspeedsteel)shouldbeusedfordrilling
metal.
Bench Stands
Forjobsrequiringhighprecision,theuseofa
benchstand(accessories)isrecommended.
Machine vice
Clampworkpiecestightfordrilling,i.e.,using
themachinevice(seeAccessories).Thiskeeps
theworkpiecefromturningandthusprevents
resultingaccidents.
Drilling tiles
Setselectorswitch(4)tothedrillsymbol.Wait
untilthetilehasbeencompletelypenetrated
beforeswitchingovertothehammersymboland
continuingwithpercussiondrilling.
Tapping
Clampthetapdrillcarefullyandverytightto
preventslipping.
Storage
Theunitshouldbestoredinadryplacewhereit
isprotectedagainstfreezing.
Service
Seeenclosedsheet.
Maintenance
Periodicallycleantheventilationslots(5)on
themotorhousing.
Afteranoperatingperiodofapprox.200
hours,thefollowingmaintenanceworkmust
beperformed:
‑ Checkthemotorbrushesandreplaceif
necessary.Cleanthemotorhousing.
‑ Renewthegreasellingofthegearbox.
Whenthecarbonbrushesarewornout,the
machineswitchesitselfoff.Themachinemust
thenbesenttocustomerservicefor
maintenance(seeenclosedsheet).
Toverifythatthedoubleinsulationis
intact,themachinemustbesubjectedto
asafetytestafter‑wards.Therefore,these
maintenancetasksaretobeperformed
onlybyaprofessionalelectro‑workshop.
