A note on the set-up of the Proxima projector in the Interactive Media lab........57
Report Overview
This report will evaluate the Proxima 9260 projector that is
situated in the Interactive Media lab. It was chosen because of the
amount of problems there has been with it in the time we have seen it
in use in our lab.
This report will detail an evaluation conducted on the projector.
Ten users were examined using the printer with nine of them being
involved in the main study and one in the pilot study, which was used
to ensured the main study was carried out without any problems.
The evaluation method used was the “think-aloud” method.
This involved giving the users a number of tasks and asking them to
carry them out without any help from the evaluators. They were
recorded on camera and told to voice their thoughts throughout the
evaluation. This way the team knew what they were thinking and
were able to review the evaluations at a later stage so that a more
detailed study could take place.
The report will first give a little introduction of the Proxima 9260
projector, outlining its general specifications and its target users. The
study subjects will then be introduced along with the tasks that they
were asked to complete. We will explain why these tasks we chosen
