Important: Ensure that the SIM card is inserted in the correct
orientation as shown. Once inserted, the SIM card
can only be removed using a pair of tweezers or long-
nosed pliers. If the SIM card is inserted incorrectly,
the unit will not connect to the GSM network.
If the SIM card is inserted incorrectly, it must be
removed by following the instructions in “Removing
The SIM Card”, below.
2.5.2 Removing The SIM Card
Warning: To prevent damage to the SIM card, ensure that the
netpad is switched off and the battery removed before
removing the SIM card.
• Open the card slot door and grasp the card on the cross-hatch
area (see Figure 2.20 on page 42), using a pair of tweezers, or
long-nosed pliers.
• Pull the card out carefully.
