TEST THE SYSTEM IN THIS ORDER!
USE WATER! CHECK FOR LEAKS!
The PumpSpy controller has an external cellular antenna.
Mount the antenna as high as possible, preferably attached
to a floor joist or external wall. Remove the backing from the
antenna's mounting tape, and fasten the antenna.
Lift the lowest battery backup switch and hold. Release
when the battery backup pump cycles. The PumpSpy
controller should sound an alarm with the message
Backup On AC On. The SYSTEM light will turn red.
ONLY if the system displays a HI PRIMARY AMP
warning when the main pump cycles, you need to
clear the PumpSpy controller's internal memory.
Insert a pencil or pen to press the recessed reset
button located on the left side of the PumpSpy
controller. The STATUS lights will cycle and the
system will reset to factory defaults. Repeat steps
12 and 13.
The DATA light will turn blinking green after the
homeowner registers the unit at www.pumpspy.com.
Lift switch for the primary sump sump. Release when
pump cycles for at least 3 seconds. The PumpSpy
alarm will stop and the SYSTEM light will be green.
Plug PumpSpy controller into a household AC outlet.
The PumpSpy system will initialize and boot up. After booting,
the POWER and SYSTEM lights should be GREEN. DATA
light should be BLINKING RED.
Connect the PumpSpy controller to the battery.
Red to +, Black to -. Replace and lock lid on case.
Open the battery case and place battery inside.
