Section 7 Exterior Equipment
DC235 / DC265
Use caution with towing a skier as the tow
rope may backlash into the cockpit when
released or should the line fail, resulting in
injury.
Bow Seating and Storage
There are three storage compartments
located in the bow. The port and starboard
compartments are equipped with cushions
and backrests to provide more room for stor-
age.
The third compartment is located in the
cockpit sole is designed for ski storage.
Access to the holding tank is provided
through this compartment on the DC 265.
Optional Hardtop (DC 265)
The optional fiberglass hardtop frame is white
powder coated aluminum and is designed to
accommodate radio antennas, radar anten-
nas and navigation lights. It is equipped with
overhead red and white lights and can be
equipped with optional outriggers and/or rod
holders.
The hardtop is not designed to support the
additional weight of items like an instrument
locker or a life raft. Radar and electronics
antennas must be mounted to the top
between the front and rear legs. Do not
mount any antennas or equipment to the
brow area. The hardtop frame is not
designed to support the weight of accesso-
ries in this area and can be damaged. The
starboard rear leg provides the chase for
components mounted to the top.
The hardtop warranty will be voided if the
top is modified in any way or heavy accesso-
ries are mounted to the top. Also, if items
like radar antennas, spotlights and other
accessories are mounted in the wrong loca-
tion, the warranty can be voided. If you
intend to add equipment or make modifica-
tions to the hardtop, contact Pursuit Cus-
tomer Relations to make sure the equipment
you would like to add or the intended modifi-
cation will not void the warranty on the top.
There is a hole drilled in each of the leg
bases to prevent water from being trapped
within the leg and provide wire routing for
accessories. A smaller hole is drilled in the
tubing at the base of the other legs is to
allow water to drain only. Keep the hardtop
leg drains clean, especially before winter
lay-up.
Hardtop Canvas (DC 265)
Because the aluminum frames vary slightly,
the side curtains and front curtain are cus-
tom made to each boat at the factory. Slide
the side curtains, first, then the front curtain
into the slide tracks on the windshield and
hardtop. Start the zippers, but DO NOT zip
closed. Snap the side curtains to the deck
and then the hardtop legs. The side curtains
will have to be stretched slightly to pull out
the wrinkles and reach the snaps. Once the
curtains are snapped in place, close the zip-
pers.
! DANGER
Do not overload the ski pylon. The
maximum load is 1000 lbs. (454 kg).
! CAUTION
Care should be exercised to prevent
damage to powder coated surfaces. if
the surface is scratched, chipped or
worn exposing the aluminum, it
should be resealed to prevent corro-
sion from forming. If corrosion is
allowed to form, it could cause the
powder coating to bubble and lift
away. Contact your dealer for repair
service.
