The macerator discharge pump can only be run dry for a few seconds. Allowing the macerator pump to run
after the fishbox is empty may cause damage to the pump.
The fishbox is equipped with a Banjo
®
fitting to allow the drain hose to be disconnected from the fishbox
drain. Lift the fishbox up and slide it to the port side of the opening to gain access to the Banjo
®
fitting. Pull
both levers of the Banjo
®
fitting upwards to disconnect the hose. The fishbox can now be removed. To
reinstall, push the hose fitting onto the drain adapter and pull both levers down.
The cooler located under the port aft facing seat is drained by gravity to overboard thru-hulls located in the
hull sides just above the waterline.
WATER SYSTEM DRAINS
The galley sink, exterior sink and livewell, provided with fresh or raw water, drain by gravity to overboard
thru-hulls located in the hull sides just above the waterline. The overflows in the livewell drain into the
overboard drains.
SHOWER AND HEAD SINK DRAINS
The shower and head sink drain to a sump pump system located in the bilge and accessed through a hatch below
the aft berth.
After showering, let the cold water flow for a period of time to flush the drainage system of soap residue. The
sump has a removable cover to allow the system to be inspected and serviced. It is essential that the sump system
by inspected periodically and any accumulated debris removed.
ROPE LOCKER DRAINS
The rope locker drains overboard through a special drain fitting located in the hull side at the bottom of the
rope locker. It is important to inspect the drain frequently to remove any accumulated debris.
