Audio/Video to Category 5 Balun System
Take advantage of Cat5 (or higher) cable for
interconnecting A/V components over long distances.
Common signal formats such as composite video, RGB
component video, S–video and line level audio can
easily be sent over UTP cable distances up to 300m
(1000'). In retrofit applications, utilize existing unused
pairs of Cat5 data cable already in place. In new
construction, take advantage of the smaller size and
lower cost of Cat5 cable when distributing signals
throughout the structure. Housed in compact ABS
enclosures, each balun accepts standard RJ-45 male
connectors. Completely passive design, these units
require no power. Each unit is clearly labeled to
identify which RJ-45 connector pair is used for the
designated signal path. Sold individually, all
baluns must be used in pairs.

VideoEase™ HDTV Component
Video/Digital Audio Balun
The component video/digital audio balun allows
one component video (YPbPr or RGB) signal and
one digital audio signal to be transmitted via
cost-effective unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable
in a point-to-point configuration. Used in pairs, the component
digital balun supports 480i/p, 720p and 1080i/p video formats for
hi-definition (HDTV) video applications. Features: •Supports 480i/p up to 1000'

Video Balun
The VideoEase CCTV balun allows a single CCTV video
signal to be transmitted via cost effective unshielded twisted
pair (UTP) cable. The CCTV balun eliminates costly and
bulky coaxial cable, allowing CCTV security and surveillance
equipment to be connected using standard structured cabling
techniques for neater and more streamlined cabling. The
CCTV balun is available in two models; CCTV Screw Terminal Balun (500009)
and Modular CCTV Balun (500000). Both models may be used interchangeably.
