Initial View Manager Configuration
OnceyouhaveinstalledoneormoreViewConnectionServerinstancesyoumust
performaninitialconfigurationsothattheyarereadytocarryoutadministrativetasks.
ConfigurationiscarriedoutfromwithinViewAdministrator,theWeb‐based
administrativecomponentofViewManager.Thiscomponentisdescribedindetailin

To perform an initial configuration
1OpenabrowsersupportedbyViewAdministrator,andenterthefollowingURL
where<server>isthehostnameorIPaddressofastandardorreplicaView
ConnectionServerinstance:

2Loginusingtheappropriatecredentials.Initially,alldomainuserswhoare
membersofthelocal
administratorsgroupontheViewConnectionServerare
allowedtologintotheViewAdministrator—youcanusetheinterfacetochange
thelistofViewManageradministratorslater.
Thefirsttimeyoulogin,theConfigurationviewisshown.Afteryouhavelicensed
theproduct,theDesktopviewisdisplayedafter
login.

warnsyouthatthesecuritycertificateassociatedwiththeaddressisnotissuedby
atrustedcertificateauthority.Thisisexpectedbehaviorbecausethedefaultroot
certificatesuppliedwithViewConnectionServerisself‐signed.
