Smartcardauthentication Thedropdownmenuassociatedwiththispropertyprovides
thefollowingoptions:
Notallowed—Smartcardauthenticationisdisabled.
Optional—Usersmayusesmartcardauthenticationto
connect,butpasswordauthenticationisalsopermitted.
Failuretoauthenticateusingsmartcardauthentication
willrequirethatpasswordauthenticationisusedinstead.
Required—Usersmayonlyconnectusingsmartcard
authentication.
Toconfigurethesmartcardremovalpolicy,ifitisallowed:
SelecttheDisconnectusersessionsonsmartcard
removalcheckboxifyouwantuserstobedisconnected
fromtheViewConnectionServerinstancewhenthey
removetheirsmartcards.Usersmustthenreauthenticate
togainaccesstotheirViewdesktops.
Deselectthischeckboxtoallowuserstoremain
connectedtotheViewConnectionServerinstancewhen
theyremovetheirsmartcards.UserscanstartnewView
desktopsessionswithoutreauthenticating.
Thesmartcardremovalpolicydoesnotapplytouserswho
connecttotheViewConnectionServerinstancewiththe
Log
onascurrentusercheckboxselected,eveniftheyloginto
theirclientsystemwithasmartcard.
YoumustrestarttheViewConnectionServerservicefor
changestosmartcardsettingstotakeeffect.Currentlylogged
inusersarenotaffectedbychangestosmartcardsettings.
