Viewing an Alarm Notification Received by Email
You can automatically send alarm notifications with a copy of the host configuration
by email to a distribution list, thus enabling the information to be opened and
analyzed from other locations. For details about setting up automatic alarm
notification by email, see section 6.11.
Once you are on the alarm notification distribution list, you will receive alarm
notifications and, optionally, the host configuration, by email. Perform the following
steps to view the information.
1. Open the email message. The alarm notification displays (see figure 8-10).

Read the email notification. Note the following:
❑ From. Includes the application name (SANsurfer Application)
❑ Subject. Includes type of SANsurfer HBA alarm and host name
❑ Email message. Includes detailed information about the alarm
❑ Attached file. The host configuration file (.qlc) (if sent)
