Q
The default settings for the QLA200/QLA2xxx HBAs are listed in table 11-1 and
described in the following paragraphs.
■ Connection Options. This setting defines the type of connection (loop or
point-to-point) or connection preference. For the QLA22xx HBA, the default is
3
—Point-to-Point, Otherwise Loop. For the QLA23xx HBA, the default is 2—Loop
Preferred, Otherwise Point-to-Point.
■ Data Rate. This setting determines the QLA23xx HBA port data rate. When this
setting is 2 Gb, the QLA23xx HBA port runs at 2 Gbps. When this setting is Auto,
SANsurfer FC HBA Manager determines what rate your system can
accommodate and sets the rate accordingly. The default is 1 Gb (the QLA23xx
HBA port runs at 1 Gbps).
■ Frame Size. This setting specifies the maximum frame length supported by the
QLA2xxx HBA. For the QLA22xx HBA, the default size is 1024. If using F-Port
(point-to-point) connections, change this setting to 2048 for maximum
performance.
For the QLA23xx HBA, the default size is 2048, which provides maximum
performance for F-Port (point-to-point) connections.
