12. SystemMaintenance

Thissectiondescribesthesystemrecoveryandhardwareresetprocedure.Readcarefully
andadheretotheinstructionsstrictly.

reasons.

12.1 RecoveryProcedure

IfyourNMP‐1000Psuffersfromincompletesystemupdateduetopowerfailureduringthe
updateprocessandthedevicedoesnotfunctionproperlyanymore,followtheprocedure
belowtorecoverthesystem.

Forstandardfirmwareupdateprocedure,seeSection5.2.6orSection9.7.3.

Twoconditionsmustbemettoperformtherecoveryprocedure:
(1) NMP‐1000PcanberecognizedasamassstoragedevicewhenconnectedtothePC
withexternaldiskmodebytheeSATAorUSBinterface.
(2) TheinternalharddriveofNMP‐1000Pmusthaveatleast256MBoffreespacesfor
savingthefirmwarefileforsystemupdate.
