TouchMix 2.1 User Guide Addendum
In addition to the features detailed in the 2.0 User Guide, firmware version 2.1 adds new functionality.
Multi-Language Info System
Starting with software version 2.1, the mixer’s built-in Info system is available in English (default),
Chinese Mandarin, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
To change the Info System language selection: Menu > Language > Make a selection
The language for the mixer’s built-in demo will also reflect the selected language option.
Omit Outputs When Recalling a Scene
“Omit Outputs” allows a scene to be recalled without changing any of the mixer’s output settings. Only
the input channel parameters will be recalled. This function is useful when the operator wishes to recall
a mix scene without changing carefully adjusted output levels, equalization and limiting for the Main L/R
and Auxiliary outputs.
To omit outputs from a scene recall: Menu > Scenes > Set switch to “Omit Outputs”
Note that all mixer parameters including output settings will be saved as part of a scene. The ‘Omit
Outputs’ function simply prevents recall of output channel parameters.
Using Auxiliaries as Subgroups
The Auxiliary mixes may be assigned to the Main L/R output allowing the auxiliaries to function as
subgroups. This feature is intended for use with the input channel “Assign To Main L/R” function.
To use an Auxiliary as a Subgroup:
• Home > Aux Outputs > Select an Aux > Setup > Select “Assign to Main L/R”
• Next go to the input channels > Setup > Deselect “Assign to Main L/R”
• Adjust the input channels’ aux sends as desired.
Support for MIDI-over-USB Footswitches
Numerous mixer functions including mutes, preset / scene recall, recording transport control and more
can be controlled remotely by means of MIDI-over-USB devices. This function is similar in operation to
the Programmable User Buttons and includes a “Learn MIDI” function that makes it easy to teach the
mixer what MIDI command it should recognize and respond to.
To control the mixer from a MIDI-over-USB device:
• Attach a “class compliant” MIDI device to one of the USB ports.
• Push Menu > MIDI Setup > Select one of the MIDI buttons.
• Using the three windows, select an Action, a Selection and a Detail.
• Touch “Learn MIDI” and “Waiting for incoming MIDI message…” appears.
• On your MIDI device, push the switch that you want to associate with the action.
