Limiter
The Limiter keeps the audio level from going above the set Threshold.

– Selects the Limiter screen

Meter In
– RMS input level
3.
Meter Out
– Output level
4.
Meter GR
– Gain Reduction – indicates how much the signal is being
reduced by the Limiter.

Limiter Graph
– When the Limiter is engaged, the trace is blue.

• Ratio (B)
Attack time (A to B)
Release time (B to C)
Vertical scale = dB

Threshold Slider
– Sets the point at which the Limiter will begin to
reduce signal level.

Ratio Slider
– Sets the ratio of input level to output level when the signal
exceeds the threshold.
8.
Attack Slider
– Adjusts how quickly the Limiter reacts to a signal that exceeds the threshold.
9.
Release Slider
– Adjusts how quickly the Limiter stops Limiting when signal falls below the Threshold.
10.
Limiter In Button
– Engages or disengages the limiter.
11.
Knee In Button
– Engages or disengages the Knee. The Knee provides a smoother transition from the Attack to the Release. — Figure 31, 7b
shows the knee engaged.

Simple Button
– Turns the Simple mode on and off. Hides all controls except:

Reset Button
– Sets all the Limiter controls to their factory default position.
