Introduction Qsonix introduces exciting new remote control capabilities with its iPod Touch™ and iPhone remote control interface, which is now available for all models including the nostalgic jukebox platforms. This feature introduces a very exciting new way for Qsonix users to control and interact with their Qsonix systems.
Getting Started It’s very easy to setup you iPhone to control your Qsonix device using the Qsonix auto-discovery mechanism which utilizes your Qsonix serial number to locate your local network address. By My.Qsonix.com: We have also provided an easy way to access your system using the Qsonix serial number. This will locate your system automatically by associating its serial number with your current local IP address, this is especially useful if your Qsonix is setup using a dynamic (DHCP) IP address. 1.
Home Page View This is the main page of the IPhone interface and typically the first view you will see. From here you have several choices of navigation and music browsing options. You may press any of these button labels to access the associated area. In addition, near the top right of the page you will see the currently selected zone (default is Zone 1). You can change the active zone from the ‚Preferences‛ menu (detailed below).
Preferences This area provides the ability to change the currently active Zone in the Qsonix iPhone interface. Simply select the zone name that you want to want to control (indicated with checkmark) and all playback and queuing operations will now affect the selected active zone. Throughout the interface the currently selected zone is displayed at the top right portion of many views. You can also view general information about your Qsonix system, including software version and build details as well.
Track Details View The second detailed view is accessed by toggling the Track list button located in the upper right corner of the Now Playing screen. This view provides you with a detailed list of the tracks in your currently active Zone. You may touch on any track or green arrow to begin playback of that track instantly. You may also clear the current play queue by pressing the Clear playlist button or red x.
Shuffle Playback When available the ‚Shuffle‛ option will be presented at the top of a list of items such as albums, artists, or tracks. Pressing the shuffle button will queue up the current item list in a random/shuffled order and begin playback. Play Now button When viewing the various lists, the‛play‛ icon will appear on items that can be played, you can press either the item name ‚song name for instance‛ or the green play button to immediately begin playback of the selected item.
Albums View Navigation: HOME > Albums >Tracklist The Albums View presents a scrollable list of the albums available in your Qsonix music Library. You may freely scroll alphabetically through the list of albums and use the ‚Quick Access‛ menu described above to quickly navigate alphabetically through your album list. After selecting a particular album you will be presented with the track list for that album. From here the standard Shuffle, Play Now and ‚Add to Play Queue‛ options can be used.
Genres View Navigation: HOME: Genres > Albums > Tracklist The Genres View presents a scrollable list of genres available in your Qsonix music Library. You may freely scroll alphabetically through the list of genres. After selecting a particular genre you will be presented with a list of albums contained in that genre. After selecting a particular album you will be presented with the track list for that album where the standard Shuffle, Play Now and ‚Add to Play Queue‛ options can be used.
Playlists View Navigation: HOME: Playlists >Tracks > The Playlist View presents a scrollable list of the playlists that have been created and stored in your Qsonix music Library. You may freely scroll alphabetically through the list of Playlists. After selecting a particular playlist you will be presented with a track view of the selected playlist. You have three queuing options from the ‚Playlist Queuing‛ view where you can use the Shuffle, Play Now and ‚Add to Play Queue‛ options.
