Windows Millennium Edition
This chapter describes the Windows Millennium Edition installation.
Driver Installation (First Time Installation)
This section describes the first-time installation for the driver for Windows
Millennium Edition. For a previously installed driver, Atheros provides the
InstallShield Wizard, which includes an application for upgrading the present
driver and the Atheros Client Utility.
To install the NDIS Driver (first-time installation):
Insert the Atheros Wireless Network Adapter into a 32-bit CardBus slot and
follow these steps to install the NDIS driver:
1. Wait for the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box to appear. Choose
“Specify the location of the driver (Advanced),” and click Next to
continue.
2. Choose “Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommended).”
a. Select “Specify a location.”
b. Click Browse to locate the NDIS driver. The default folder is
E:\ndis\bin\production\install (assuming E: is the CD-ROM drive).
