2.3.4 Radar probability test mode configuration 3
4
In radar probability test mode, the AP will not switch the channel upon detecting radar; instead 5
the AP remains on the same channel and prints a message on the console upon detecting radar 6
pulses. This allows the tester to continuously issue radar pulses without reconfiguring the AP 7
with the target frequency multiple times. 8
To enable the AP for probability test mode, the following command is used: 9
dump 19 1 10
To disable probability test mode and allow the AP to switch channels upon radar detection, the 11
following command is used: 12
dump 19 0 13
When in test mode, the output on the console of LP2 will be similar to the following: 14
halIsFalseRadarTrigger: 402: AGC_RDET_RADAR_DETECTED_REG : 7 15
Detected a genuine radar interrupt, radarPulseWidth=110, numRadarPulse=4 16
halRadar_ProcessDetectInd: 513: Radar interrupt testing in progress... 17
2.3.5 Radar parking control (Channel Availability Check Control) 18
19
When DFS selects a radar channel, it parks on that channel for 60 seconds before starting the AP 20
to insure that the channel is radar free. Sometimes this delay might be a nuisance when 21
performing DFS testing. 22
To avoid the channel availability check (i.e. disable radar parking), use the following commands: 23
aniSdkTool s dfs 0 9 0 24
aniSdkTool s cga 25
To enable radar parking, use the following commands: 26
aniSdkTool s dfs 0 9 1 27
aniSdkTool s cga 28
2.3.6 View the DFS configuration 29
30
To view the complete active DFS configuration on the AP, use the following commands: 31
aniSdkTool g dfs 0 32
2.3.7 Choosing persistency of the radar channel information 33
During normal operation of the AP with DFS turned on, when radar is detected on the current 34
operating channel, DFS is triggered to select another channel to avoid interfering with the radar 35
signals. When selecting another channel DFS will record or “persist” the channel on which radar 36
was detected and will not allow the AP to operate in this radar affected channel for another 30 37
minutes per FCC requirements. 38
