This section provides information regarding STA software and hardware compatibility. 2
2.1 STA configuration tools 3
Qualcomm WCN1320 STA evaluation kits currently support Wireless Extension (WEXT) only. 4
The STA can be configured using the following CLI-based applications: 5
 iwconfig 6
 iwpriv

 wpa_cli 8
Qualcomm recommends using wpa_cli application for standard STA configuration and using 9
iwpriv for configuring Qualcomm proprietary parameters. 10
2.2 STA hardware 11
One device in your hardware kit should be clearly labeled as STA. 12
This release supports the reference designs listed in Table 2-1. 13

2.3 Connecting to STA 16
You can control the STA by connecting an Ethernet cable to one of its 4 LAN ports on AP router 17
or to a single LAN port on dongle STA. 18
The CLI-based applications are run from the shell on the STA. The shell is accessible through 19
any of the 4 LAN ports using telnet. The LAN ports’ default IP address is 192.168.1.253 with a 20
subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. 21
Telnet login is “root” with no password. 22
