Connecting to a personal computer or
fax (optional)
Note
You cannot hook up a fax machine to the car kit to receive
faxes. Check with your satellite service provider for
further information on connecting to a personal
computer.
Connecting a serial port cable (RS-232, 9 pin) from your PC to
the data port of the car kit GEM (GCK-1a) allows the phone to
send and receive data via the car kit. See Component parts,
page 9. Use your PC fax software and the cable provided with
your PC.
Note
You cannot use the phone to talk while sending and
receiving data.
