Text Entry
Text Entry
This section describes how you can enter text (letters, numbers and symbols). The same
method of text entry can be used in all of the phone’s editing display.
Mode change
In the text entry screen, pressing switches the text entry mode between abc (All lower
case), Abc (Sentence case), ABC (All upper case), 123 (Numeric input). Pressing and
holding # in the abc/Abc/ABC input mode will toggle T9® input On/Off.

Text Input and will try to deduce the correct word by individually
comparing the entered letters with an extensive in-built dictionary, enabling fast and intuitive
text input.
For each letter to be keyed in, you will only need to press the number key corresponding to the
alphabet once. The screen will display the word you may require based on the in-built English
dictionary of the mobile phone. An example of it shown as follows:
With the text entry screen displayed, press to switch to desired T9
®
English input
case(T9 abc/T9 Abc/T9 ABC) before entering the word/sentence.
To enter “dog” for example, 3 6 4 and then 0 to confirm the word.
Other key functions
0: Confirms a word and inserts a space.
Left Softkey: To display other words with the same combination of letters (e.g. words like fog, eng etc.
can be formed by pressing the number keys 3, 6, 4 and Left Softkey).
Left Softkey (1 23): Displays a matching word every time you press.
