2 For more information on ‘Inserting object’ and ‘Format’, refer to page 31.
2 The maximum number of characters is defined as the number of single byte characters (alphanumeric
characters, etc.) allowed in a field/item. If a double byte character such as a special symbol is used, the
number of characters allowed will vary accordingly.
2 If you display another screen or receive a call while you are editing a message more than 1 character,
the message will be saved automatically in Draft.
Replying to a received message

The reply facility uses the phone number of the person who sent the message.
☛ ➔ Messages ➔ Inbox.
☛ Select a message to reply to ➔ Reply via SMS ➔ New SMS/Edit/Answer is
Yes/Answer is no ➔The Edit screen will be displayed.
☛ Input the message ➔ Left Softkey ➔ Send ➔ The message is sent and saved in
Outbox.
Forwarding a received message
☛ ➔ Messages ➔ Inbox.
☛ Select a message to forward ➔ Forward ➔The Edit screen will be displayed.
☛ Input the message ➔ Left Softkey ➔ Send ➔ Left Softkey to forward SMS.
Saving an unfinished and unsent message

In the message Edit screen, Left Softkey ➔ Save ➔ The message is saved in Draft.
Editing and sending a message saved in Draft

➔ Messages ➔ Draft.
☛ Select a message you wish to edit ➔ Left Softkey ➔ Edit to edit the message.
☛ When the editing is done, Left Softkey ➔ Send ➔ The message is sent and saved
in
Outbox.
Save Saves the edited SMS in Draft

Insert object Inserts pictures, sounds or animations into the edited SMS.
Format Changes the format of the fonts.
Text formats, Italic and Bold cannot be applied simultaneously to
your messages.
Predefined text Inserts a predefined user message into the edited SMS.
Insert number Inserts a phone number from the Complete Phonebook.
Mark text Highlights the text to copy or cancel the marked mode.
Paste Pastes the text copied by Marked text
