Predefined text
Messages Predefined text.
Select the desired text Select to edit the text or View to display the text.
When the editing is done, Left Softkey Send and save to input the edited text to
a new SMS message and save the text, or
Save to just save the text.
, Once you edit the predefined texts, you cannot return them to the default texts even
by the reset setting function. Please be very sure when editing the texts.
Message settings
Messages Settings.
The following describes the setting items for SMS/EMS settings and Cell broadcast settings:
Service centre
Displays editing screen for the SMS Message centre number.
Left Softkey to save any changes made to the number. This number is saved in the
SIM card.
Message type
Displays Message type screen.
Highlight from the options: Standard text/Fax/ X.400/Paging/E-mail/ERMES/
Voice mail Left Softkey to turn the radio button on.
Validity period
Sets the duration that the SMS/EMS message will be stored in the SMS Message centre while
trying to deliver the message
Highlight from the options: 1 hour/12 hours/1 day/1 week/Maximum Left
Softkey to turn the radio button on.
Status report
Select this option to request for a receipt when the SMS message is sent successfully
Highlight Status report Left Softkey to toggle it On/Off A tick in the check box
indicates that Status report is activated
Direct reply
Highlight Direct reply Left Softkey to toggle it On/Off A tick in the check box
indicates that the Direct reply is activated.
SMS via GPRS
Highlight SMS via GPRS Left Softkey to toggle it On/Off A tick in the check
box indicates that the sending of SMS via GPRS is activated.
