Messages
Memory status
The available memory and the used-up memory will be displayed.
☛ ➔Messages ➔Memory status ➔ The SMS memory status of the phone and
the SIM memory status is displayed.
Cell broadcast
☛ ➔ Messages ➔ Cell broadcast.
, When cell broadcast service is activated, the phone operating time will be reduced.
2 The Cell broadcast message display on the standby screen is erased by pressing XXXXX.

Message list ➔ The list of received cell broadcast messages is displayed.
Broadcast

Broadcast ➔ Left Softkey to toggle the receiving of the cell broadcast messages
On/Off ➔ A tick in the check box indicates that the receiving of cell broadcast messages
is activated.

Topic list
Sets the topics of the cell broadcast messages to receive in your phone. Up to five topics can
be set. You can also set up to five user defined topics by entering the channel number (ID) and
if required, the name itself.
Setting a user defined topic
☛ To set a user defined topic, Topic list ➔ User defined ➔ <Add new> .
☛ The Enter msg ID: screen is displayed ➔ Enter the ID ➔ Left Softkey.
☛ The Enter name: screen is displayed ➔ Enter the name ➔ Left Softkey.
Adding/Deleting a topic
☛ To add a new topic for the cell broadcast messages, Current ➔ <Add Topic> ➔
Select a topic from the list.
☛ To delete a topic, Current ➔ Select a topic ➔ Select Delete.
Auto display
Turns the automatic display function On/Off for cell broadcast messages to be displayed in
standby screen.
☛ Auto display ➔ Left Softkey to toggle it On/Off ➔ A tick in the check box indicates
that the Auto display is activated.
CB languages
Specifies the languages you wish to receive cell broadcast messages in.
