i-mode
i-mode
Your phone allows you to use the i-mode feature. You can connect to Internet websites and
use the mail function. This chapter guides you through setting up and using i-mode.
To access the i-mode service, you need to:
Contact your service provider and subscribe to it.
Set up the i-mode options in your phone.
What is i-mode?
i-mode is a platform for mobile phone communications. With i-mode, mobile phone users get
easy access to Internet sites, as well as specialized services such as e-mail/Multimedia
Message Service (MMS), online shopping and banking, ticket reservations, and so on.
i-mode website connection
With simple key operations, users can link to a variety of websites offered by content service
providers.
E-mail/Multimedia Message Service (MMS)
In addition to the basic calling/receiving functions, your phone allows you to receive and send
e-mails/MMS via the Internet.
Website Browsing
In addition to visiting the websites already provided by the i-mode service, you may also
access to your preferred websites by directly entering their URLs into your phone.
What can be downloaded?
You may download the following four types of content from any i-mode website:
Ring tones: A ring tone sounds when your phone receives an incoming call, SMS, e-mail, and
multimedia message service (MMS).
Wallpapers: A wallpaper is the picture displayed when your cell phone is in the idle or power-saving
mode. You may download any of the 65536-colour pictures on the website to your phone.
Animations: You may download 65536-colour animations on the website to your phone.
