To run the Link Layer compliance test on DisplayPort sinks (receiver) through the

front panel:

1. Connect a cable between the DisplayPort Tx connector on the generator and the

device’s DisplayPort receiver interface with the DisplayPort function.

The following diagram depicts the test setup:

2. Setup the 882 for DisplayPort testing. Refer to “Setting up the 882 for DisplayPort

testing:” on page 454.

3. Press the Tools key and choose the Reports item by pressing the adjacent soft key.

The following is displayed on the generator’s LCD.

4. Set the Link Layer test parameters.

There are some parameters that you can set to control the way the link layer tests are

run in automation mode. These parameters have to be set through the command line.

The following parameters can be set:

Delay time between tests:

DPTX:SATW 15 // sets the wait time between link layer tests

to 15 seconds.
